Bureau County, IL - 54 MW

Crescent Ridge I, a 54-megawatt, $75 million wind farm located in Bureau County, IL, will come on-line in mid-2005. When fully operational the facility will provide clean, renewable power to 18,000 homes.

The Bureau County site lies on a crescent-shaped, glacial ridge that was deposited as the continental ice sheet retreated. The windfarm sits above the 750 foot topographic contour--500+ feet above the plains below.

Crescent Ridge has an excellent class IV wind resource and is expected to have an exceptionally strong capacity factor.
